Weather Data Zeuthen

The rate of cosmic particles at sea level depends on various factors. An important factor is the weather. A weather station has been installed at DESY Zeuthen to investigate the dependence of the muon rate measured with the experiments stationed at DESY Zeuthen on parameters such as temperature and atmospheric pressure.

The weather station at DESY in Zeuthen has been collecting data continuously since 2004. Its data can be analysed via Cosmic@Web. This enables not only the evaluation of the measurements carried out in Zeuthen in consideration of weather changes, but also the illustration and comparison of the different environmental conditions for DESY in Central Europe, Neumayer III in the Antarctic and the research vessel Polarstern crossing all latitudes.
