login
You need to log in in order to write content. Please log in with your Registry account or with the account that has been given to you by your Wiki administrator.

create a page
On every Wikipage, there is a "New" button. When you click "New", you create automatically a new Wikipage.
It is important to give your Wikipage a title otherwise the page system ID will be shown.

create a folder
Click on the "Edit" button of your Wikipage. There's a field "New (Sub-)Folder". Write the folder name that you want to create and save your Wikipage. A folder is created and the Wikipage is automatically added to the new folder.

move a page
On every Wikipage, there is an "edit" button. In the edit page, there is a drop down list "Folder" which gives a list of folders. You move the Wikipage by choosing the folder you want to have your Wikipage in.

move a folder
As a Wiki editor, you are not allowed to move folders. Please contact your Wiki administrator.

delete a page or a folder
As a Wiki editor, you are not allowed to delete pages or folders. Please contact your Wiki administrator.

write an article with the WYSIWYG editor
In order to write articles, you need the XStandard Lite plugin. Please install the plugin from the DESY-Netinstall or from the XStandard website. If you are working on Linux, the XStandard Lite won't work. You will see then a simple editor (not a WYSIWYG editor).
Here is a quickstart documentation for the WYSIWYG editor.

write formulae with the editor
Click on the "Edit" button of your Wikipage. On the top right corner above the text area, there's a link XHTML. Please click on this link to change to BBCode modus. The button with the square root sign on it enables you to edit formulae.
More information on editing formulae.

add keywords
Click on the "Edit" button of your Wikipage. There's a field "Keywords". Write a list of keywords for your article. The Keywords may be seperated with a space or with a comma. If a Keyword has two or more words for example "Tools and Utilities", please link the words with underscrores: "Tools_and_Utilities". Otherwise the system will pick the 3 words as independant keywords.

upload a file with the WYSIWYG editor
There are two possibilities:
1) The file is already on the server :
Please press on the File or Attachment button. It's the eight button from the left after the pull down menu. A pop-up window appears which gives you the possibility to go through your web site and other web sites and to choose a file.
2) The file is not yet on the server and has to be uploaded:
If you want to upload a file from your local computer, please do as follows:
- Press the "Durchsuchen..." button at the bottom of the page;
- Upload the file of your choice from your local computer;
- Then press the button "Save".
The file is now uploaded on the server and may be seen on your page.
NB: If you delete the link to the file i.e. the text, it won't delete the file on the server. You may find the file with the attachment button.

Click on the "History" button of your Wikipage. You see a list of changes that have been made to the Wikipage with the author. By clicking on the "+" at the left of every listing, you may view the content. That enables you to compare the different versions.
The button "Vergleichen" placed on the bottom of the pages also enables to compare two versions. Select two versions by clicking on the checkbox and click on the button "Vergleichen".

link to a title or a keyword
You may link to a title by using the following syntaxe:

You may link to a list of documents that have the same keyword by using the following syntaxe:
[[[keyword]]]
A list of Keywords and Titles of the Wiki web site may be seen when you're in the edit modus. Click on the XHTML link placed on the top right of the text area. That way you change to BBCode modus. There are two drop down lists with respectively keywords and titles.
