• Tuesday 18 July, 10:00-11:00, DESY Main Auditorium Bld. 5:
  Welcome Session: Welcome talk and personal Check-In
  with the DESY summerstudent team, please bring all the necessary documents mentioned in Administrative procedures with you. The webpage for the welcome session is here.

• Travel reimbursement: Please hand in the reimbursement sheet at the DESY travel department: C. Tornau, bld 7/405. We recommend to do that within few days after the program starts.

• Tuesday 18 July, 16:00 - 18:00, Flash SR 28c:
  Welcome coffee and cake
• Wednesday 19 July at 11:15, stairs at entrance to foyer of DESY auditorium: A photo of the summer students will be taken after the first lecture.
• Friday 21 July 17:00-19:00
  Harbour Boat trip Participation is voluntary, but we highly recommend you to join this fascinating trip through the famous Hamburg harbour on a barge. This event is privately organised by some DESY people and all participants have to pay a moderate fee to cover the boat renting costs.

  Welcome Dinner with buffet and drinks. The summer students from Zeuthen will join us.
• Dienstag 8 August:
  Career Workshop "Create a Career That Fits". This is limited to 15 participants in total. Details can be found here. Stay tuned for further information on registering.
  

• Monday 14 August:
  Guided tour around the XFEL site in Schenefeld (experimental halls): The tour will start in the morning and end in the early afternoon. All relevant details can be found here.
  

• Tuesday 5 August ~18:00-22:30, canteen extension and terrace:
  Barbecue ponsored by the PIER Graduate School
