Donald E. Knuth
Donald E. Knuth ("DEK") is Professor of The Art of Computer Programming at
Stanford University. He is author of the multi-volume work-in-progress
"The Art of Computer Programming", five volumes of "Computers & Typesetting"
and "3:16 Bible Texts Illuminated". He is a member of the American Academy
of Arts and Sciences, the National Academy of Sciences, and the National
Academy of Engineering.
Furthermore, he is the author of the TeX and Metafont systems of
documentation (written in WEB for Pascal). He is still actively supporting
the CWEB system of structured documentation which is written by
Silvio Levy (Berkeley).
He has also published a
book on Literate Programming
