HERA and the LHC

In 2004, when I came back to DESY and the discussion about a future high energy program at DESY started, I proposed together with colleagues from ZEUS a workshop on the relation between HERA and the LHC.
This workshop series laid the ground for a very successful participation of DESY scientists in the LHC experiments bringing in their experience in standard model physics but also in searches.
Proceedings of this workshop series were published, edited by me together with colleagues from CERN.
The PDF4LHC workshop forum is a direct continuation of this workshop series.
