Elisabetta Gallo is full professor at the University of Hamburg and leading scientist at DESY. She has performed research in experimental particle physics at LEP (e+e- collider), at HERA (ep collider at DESY) and now at the LHC (pp collider at CERN). She is presently involved in Standard Model and Higgs physics with the CMS experiment at the LHC.
