C++ on the World-Wide Web
Marcus Speh
(Preliminary abstract of a paper submitted to the
1st Int.
WWW conference at CERN.)
This article provides an introduction to
Resources for C++ and
object-oriented programming
on the World-Wide
Web [WWW]. For programmers who are new to the Web a relatively detailed
account of the history of the Web is given and common access methods to
resources are referenced.
In an outlook, I shall give a perspective for the optimized presentation of
C++ libraries on WWW, referring to current
High Energy Physics projects using C++.
An example is Toby Burnett's
GISMO development code.
