DESY condemns antisemitism
As a research centre with employees and visitors from all over the world, engaged in worldwide cooperations, DESY stands for tolerance and international understanding and opposes all forms of racism and antisemitism. “We do not tolerate antisemitic attacks of the kind we have seen recently in reaction to the escalated Middle East conflict,” says Helmut Dosch, Chairman of the DESY Board of Directors.
“This message also goes to the researchers at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel,“ says Christian Stegmann, Director for Astroparticle Physics and head of the DESY site Zeuthen. “At DESY, we will continue to advocate scientific cooperation that promotes international understanding.”
