New Information Film about the European XFEL Project: A media IT project of the University of Applied Sciences Wedel

The students’ team of the University of Applied Sciences Wedel during the shooting in the FLASH tunnel

The portfolio of PR materials for the European XFEL facility now has one more cards to its deck: the new information film “Light of the Future – The European XFEL Facility”, which was launched today. The movie was produced as a project work of the study course Media IT of the University of Applied Sciences Wedel, in close cooperation with DESY. Under the direction of PR/FEL, the students’ team combined existing animations, aerial views and pictures with their own shoots at FLASH and on the DESY site, completed the material with graphics, and combined it with the taped text. The result is an informative, 12-minute-long film that provides a descriptive overview of the XFEL and its predecessor FLASH. – The movie is available in German and English.
