Theory SeminarEnergy correlators as precision probes of QCD dynamics
Yibei Li (Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz)
The two-point energy correlator (EEC) provides a clean probe of QCD dynamics across scales, from asymptotically free quarks and gluons in the ultraviolet to confined hadrons in the infrared. Using the recently-developed track function formalism, we obtain the first precision predictions for track-based (and all-particle) EEC over the full angular range with record theoretical precision, combining NNLL (collinear), NNLO (fixed-order), and NNNNLL (back-to-back) accuracy together with leading non-perturbative effects. With new high-resolution measurements at LEP, this opens a precision program of QCD studies and extractions of its fundamental parameters.
