   Short description of the project the student should work on  :

   The project deals with the determination of the total decay width

   of the Higgs boson at the ILC. A simulation measurement of the 

   Higgs production cross section will be performed. From this 

   measurement we can extract information on the total Higgs decay
 
  width. The aim of this study is to estimate the measurement
 
  accuracies of the Higgs decay width obtainable at the ILC at a 

   centre-of-mass energy of 500GeV. Considering the recent LHC results

   the analysis will be performed for a Higgs boson of 125GeV. 

   
   The project will give an insight into analysis techniques and the 

   corresponding software that is used in modern particle physics.

  experience in C++  ,
