here some places for sports:
football, volleyball, basketball and swimming
in general you can do sports in the public
parks on the lawns, it is mostly allowed :-)

* Volkspark Milchwiese:

So that's just a lawn without
any technical equipment, which you have
to bring yourself.

* Football ground in Volkspark, about 1.2 km from here

close to the DESY hostels at

* Football, Basketball field in Ottensen, about 5 km with bus

The busline 1 stops just ~80 metre
at Fischersallee.

* In Jenischpark, about 3 km from here

that's again just a lawn,
but the park is beautiful

There is a "Beachvolleyball complex"
at Stiefmuetterchenweg 42-42, but it may
cost some money,

Stadtparkwiese:
With S1 to Ruebenkamp and then by feet
This is the largest public lawn in Hamburg,
500000 people fit there, it is nice there,
and you can do sports there what you want.

For swimming:

For indoor swimming:
Kaifu is fine, until 20h00 you can
also swim in the 50 metre outdoor pool
later there is a smaller outdoor pool  open until
midnight!
