   Short description of the project the student should work on  :

  Precision measurement of the C/V characteristics of  silicon  pad 
  detectors for different temperatures and  comparison  with  model 
  calculations.The aim is an in-depth understanding of edge effects 
  and the properties of p-n junctions.

   Ability to perfrom calculations using a program like MATHEMATICA or
