   Short description of the project the student should work on  :

   The student should work on Monte Carlo simulations with EGS 
   (Electron Gamma Shower) of scattering, production of secondary 
   particles and development of the electromagnetic shower in the 
   FLASH2 collimators. 
   In addition, we will work for one shift in the FLASH 
   control room in order to learn how to operate the machine.

   Physics / Computing/ Engineering  Content of the project :

   - Basics of particle accelerator physics (Linacs). 
   - Monte Carlo simulations using EGS. 
   - Introduction to the operation of FLASH.
