   Short description of the project the student should work on  :

   For testbeam measurements with a TPC prototype used for R&D towards a TPC at a future 
   detector at a linear electron-positron collider, a slow control system and
   a conditions database have been set up. 
   The work of the summer student would comprise the implementation of the connection
   from the slow control framework (DOOCS) to the conditions database.
   In addition or alternatively, the implementation of a visual database browser 
   for the conditions database is possible. This includes modification of an existing 
   GUI (QT) and implementation of the database connection and internal data handling.

   Mostly focused on computing.

  Basic propgramming knowledge, preferably in C++.
