The Business incubator in Hamburg Bahrenfeld
The Innovation Centre "Start-up Labs Hamburg" on the research campus in Bahrenfeld is a joint project of DESY, University of Hamburg and the City of Hamburg. In the high-tech environment of DESY and several institutes of the University of Hamburg, the business incubator, which is financed by the City of Hamburg, is expected to provide space for start-ups and established companies by 2021.
The new business incubator is located in the midst of the excellence, which the research campus in Hamburg Bahrenfeld with DESY, the University of Hamburg and numerous other science institutions from Hamburg and Northern Germany provides. The top-class knowledge in physics, chemistry, biology and medicine as well as the technical possibilities, which the campus provides are an excellent environment for research and technology driven start-ups. The Innovation Centre is open to other project groups or co-operations originating from the research campus.
The new building will have about 4,000 m2 total in floor space.
