Industrial mechanic (f/m) for fine tool engineering

The multifaceted occupation in the field of fine-tool engineering includes manufacturing, testing, mounting and disassembly of components and complete devices.

Start of training: 1. September
Training period: 3,5 years
School leaving qualification: lower secondary school certificate with good grades
Location: Hamburg and Zeuthen  

 

Activities

  • Basic skills in mechanical processing
  • Checking, scribing, adjusting and clamping of tools and workpieces
  • Training at modern, computer-controlled machines
  • Programming and operating of CNC tooling machines
  • Mating with screw or pin connections, by gluing, soldering and fusion welding
  • Setup and testing of pneumatic circuits
  • Manufacturing and mounting of components and complete devices
  • Manufacturing of special components and modules, and complete devices
  • Manufacturing of special components and modules for the ultra vacuum technology for accelerators and for elementary particle detectors

 

Construction mechanic (f/m) steel and metal construction

Construction mechanics build steel and sheet metal structures. With the help of manual and mechanized processes, they manufacture individual components made of sheet metal, profiles and pipes and assemble them.

Start of training: 1. September
Training period: 3,5 years
School leaving qualification: lower secondary school certificate with good grades
Location: Hamburg  

 

Activities

  • Application of technical design documentation
  • Planning of workflows
  • Selection and provision of materials, devices and machines
  • Functional mounting of components and modules
  • Welding and soldering, considering work safety and environmental protection
  • Operation of lifting tools to transport heavy components
  • Setup, connection and testing of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Mounting of components for fixed and movable structural and outfitting constructions
  • Checkup of completed tasks and repair and reworking if necessary
  • Testing, commissioning and maintenance of building and equipment constructions
