Please read the general guidelines for preparation of manuscripts
on the Elsevier server.
For authors preparing their proceedings with LaTeX:
- Please read and follow the
general LaTeX instructions from Elsevier.
- For estimating the actual length of your paper,
-
we recommend using the LaTeX style file espcrc2.sty for so-called
`camera-ready copy' and encapsulating your figures. This is the style file
with output closest
to the 2-column layout of NIMA that Elsevier could offer us. You can obtain
this style file and corresponding instructions from the above
link.
Please do not worry about the layout of the header (title,
authors, affiliations, abstract, etc.) which is different from
the NIM header, as Elsevier will take care of transforming all
into actual NIMA style.
- Alternatively, Elsevier offers the more pedestrian way of counting words and
lines etc. as described here or
in the equivalent MS document length.doc.
This is what you'll have to do if you use the LaTeX class
elsart.cls.
For authors preparing their proceedings with MS-Word:
- Please read the instructions in the MS
template file. You can immediately save this file
and use it for creating your document. As this is a MS Word document, you'll
need the corresponding helper/plugin for your browser to open it properly.
It should work automatically with a modern version of MS Explorer.
- The above template was produced for "Computer Physics Communications", not for
NIM. As they do not have a specific NIM template available, Elsevier has
instructed us to ask you not to worry about this detail as
they will change this automatically when processing your paper.
- Other than that, the layout is very close to the layout for NIM articles, so that
you will be able to determine the length of your paper directly from the
document.
Please note the following important points when preparing and submitting
your paper:
Thank you for your cooperation ! We hope it will help with a timely publication of
the workshop proceedings.
