Start meeting: 09 May 2001 9:00 h End: Place: CERN, 40/S2-B01
At the ECFA/DESY meeting Saturday afternoon after the TESLA Colloquium it was decided to have a 'Kick-off' meeting for detector R&D As a first iteration for the planning of the meeting we suggest the following agenda: 0) Introduction (aim of the meeting, presentation of the DESY R&D program) 1) Short reports from all interested groups (individual or combined) about ongoing activities, planned activities, timescales and financial sources 2) Main discussions only per subdetector, not after each presentation. 3) General discussion after the last presentation with the following aim: create a matrix of topics vs institutes to identify overlaps, common interests, missing activities etc We would also like to encourage separate meetings of subdetector groups, e.g. in the afternoon of May 8th. Have a nice easter, Rolf and Ron
Dear Colleagues, Here is the latest agenda for our TESLA detector R&D kickoff-meeting Wednesday. A reminder: the vertexing and tracking sessions will continue with more detailed technical discussions/results on Thursday, so for the Wednesday plenary meeting the VTX and TPC reports should concentrate mainly on issues and plans. Comments, as always, are welcome. Best regards, Rolf, Ron and Ties *********************************************************************** May 9 Kickoff Meeting on LC Detector R&D **************************************** 40/S2-B01 9:00 ------------ Introduction ------------ Rolf Heuer.........................Aim of this meeting, Detector R&D program at DESY, Submission of plans to the PRC ----------------- Subdetector Plans ----------------- *Vertex Detector* (2h) Chris Damerell ................LCFI collaboration on CCDs (10') Norbert Wermes ................DEPFET concept (15') Marcel Trimpl .................DEPFET at TESLA (15') Marc Winter....................CMOS prototype MIMOSA (15') Chris Damerell on behalf of Renato Turchetta...........CMOS pixels: UK collaboration (10') Massimo Caccia.................APS NN.............................NN?
