FINAL INFORMATION 
 

 The colloquium will take place at the DESY site in the so-called Expo hall (Bldg 28c), the future experimental hall of the TTF user facility, which already housed the TESLA exposition during the World Expo in summer 2000. The hall is located outside the PETRA ring at the Northeast side of DESY. The attached map will help you to find your way on the DESY site.

While the main gate is open 24h a day, the side gate is open for cars on Friday evening up to 21:00 and on Saturday from 7:00 to 14:00 only. On Sunday the gate stays closed. A small pedestrians gate will be opened remotely on your request. Please use the buzzer.

The registration desk for the colloquium is open from 9:00 - 13:00 on Friday in Building 6 and after 13:00 in the Expo hall. You may take lunch in the canteen. The colloquium itself will start at 14:00 in the Expo hall. A shuttle service is organized between the DESY central parking lot and the Expo hall. A limited amount of parking is reserved in front of the Expo hall for handicapped people, technical support groups etc. If you prefer to walk please use the footpath along the TTF tunnel, starting at the TTF hall. Follow the signs posted along the way. A shuttle service is also organized between selected hotels and DESY (see the attached list for the times and places).

The colloquium starts on Friday at 14:00 and the first day will end with the free welcome dinner, served in the DESY Bistro (Bldg 9) at 20:00, to which you are cordially invited. The Jazz band 'Six in a bar' will play for your entertainment. Please inform the secretariat by e-mail if you are not able to join. On Saturday the meeting starts at 8:30 and ends at 13:00 with Lunch in the Bistro.

The TESLA Test Facility will be opened for visitors after the talks from 13:00 to 15:00. You can have a look at the cavity preparation, the module assembly, the TTF linac from the RF gun through the undulator and talk with TTF operators and experts.

The extension tunnel for the TTF, which contains TESLA exhibits and computer terminals for your convenience, will be opened throughout the colloquium. Additional terminals are accessible in the seminar room in Building 6 (ground floor).

If you wish to stay on the DESY site over the weekend please note that the canteen is closed over the weekend and the Bistro is closed on Saturday and Sunday evening. We will provide a list with recommended restaurants close to DESY.
 
 

During the colloquium the TESLA Technical Design report (TDR) will be distributed. It is prepared in an electronic version on a CD and in a printed version. The printed TDR consists of five volumes:

 The CD contains the complete TDR and also includes a large amount of reference papers and links to reference papers on the web. After the colloquium the TDR will be available on the web. You may choose to receive the TDR as either CD only, the printed Executive Summary with the CD (inside cover), or the printed version (complete set or single volumes).
