CoLoRFulNNLO – Subtractions Scheme for Fully Differential Predictions at NNLO

In this talk, I will be presenting the construction of a fully general local subtraction scheme for the NNLO cross-section with hadrons in the initial state. In this scheme, we introduce a set of point-wise counterterms which are subtracted from the matrix elements of the real emission subprocesses to cancel the soft and collinear divergences. At the same time, these counterterms are integrated over the degrees of unresolved radiation and added back to cancel explicit poles of the matrix elements with reduced multiplicity and higher virtual radiative corrections. The integration of these counterterms is a general result that can be used for many phenomenological applications owing to the factorization properties of QCD matrix elements and the universal (i.e. process independent) behavior of matrix elements in singular regions of the phase-space.
