Albrecht Wagner Colloquium - honoring his 80th birthday

In his many years at DESY Albrecht Wagner has contributed significantly to the scientific successes and the national and international reputation of DESY. In 1991 Albrecht Wagner was appointed as Director of Research at DESY. From 1999 until 2009, he acted as Chairman of the DESY Board of Directors. He played an important role as the leader of several international consortia, including as Chairman of the TESLA Technology Collaboration Board and as Chairman of the International Committee for Future Accelerators (ICFA). Under his leadership the landmark decision on the TESLA technology and XFEL was made.
