WorkshopPIER Startup Workshop: Business Plan and Funding

Participants will receive an overview of the business plan and learn how they can transfer their own business ideas, Business Model Canvas or research results into this more classical framework. The business plan still is an important instrument in order to test and review business models, make and stick to strategic decisions and to share one’s own business idea with potential investors. Writing a business plan represents a special challenge that includes rules, which entrepreneurs and business professionals need to become familiar with and follow. The participants will learn what is important to keep in mind when developing a business plan and review typical pitfalls. Besides covering topics including marketing, market research, legal structures and team development, the workshop will also address the issue of financing strategies and opportunities. Registration will close on 2 December 2019. As the number of participants is limited, early registration is strongly recommended. Members of DESY and Universität Hamburg will be given preference.
