The DESY Science Day is a tribute to the scientists and the work they do at DESY. All DESY colleagues, our collaborators and friends are invited to join us for this festive event, where we will: celebrate recent scientific highlights from DESY research, recognise lifetime and other achievements, including the PhD Thesis Prize of the Association of the Friends and Sponsors of DESY (VFFD), welcome newly appointed leading scientists, and enjoy this year’s “Jentschke Lecture” in memory of Willbald Jentschke, the founder and first Director of DESY in Hamburg held by Prof. Dr Karsten Danzmann (Director at Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics, Leibniz University Hannover)
