Aim of the Workshop:

The workshop Future Physics at HERA, the DESY/GSI/NUPECC workshop at Seeheim in 1997 and the workshop at Trento in 98 have illustrated the scientific potential of electron-nucleus scattering at small x. This would be accessible with HERA after a possible upgrade to facilitate injection and acceleration of heavy ions in the proton ring. The scientific issues for such a eA collider include: The aim of this workshop is to review the progress made in the studies of eA physics during the last two years, to address machine and detector aspects of the program, and to define the studies which have to be undertaken in the next year.

Presentations:

The workshop will consist of review talks by invited speakers (list above), reports on recent results and discussions. Participants who would like to suggest presentations or topics for discussion should send messages to heraea@mail.desy.de.

Registration:

Participants can register by sending a message, e.g. using this registration form, to heraea@mail.desy.de. Early registration would be of great help for the organization of the workshop. There is no registration fee.

Accomodation:

Participants should arrange their own accomodation, e.g. on-site at the DESY hostel or in a hotel.
