Decisions from weekly HERA meeting
-
01.08.00:
HERMES found a way the normalize their data at 12
GeV and requested again a 8h test run (HERMES running conditions, beampipe
temperature (@H1),..). This has been granted for next monday.
-
25.07.00:
The shifted vertex run will start on August 17th.
-
18.07.00:
Special running in August
-
HERMES request for 12 GeV running
has been postponed for undefinite time (problems with acceptance of lumi
detector).
-
H1 request for a shifted vertex run
has been accepted in general. The tentative starting date is August 7th,
it will last for 0.5 pb-1 or one week maximal. In case of problems daily
meetings are foreseen and the exact date will be discussed next week again.
-
The machine group gets two more days for machine studies at the end of
the lumi run. Luminosity operation will end now in the morning of
August 26th (Saturday).
-
23.05.00:
HERMES high density run without proton beam
While HERMES can't operate for the next few days due to high backgrounds
after last weeks magnets exchange (still bad vacuum) with protons it has
been agreed to dump the proton beam at I(e+)=13mA and have 1h high density
run for HERMES afterwards.
-
09.05.00:
15 minutes run end countdown
The agreement is now that the experiments should be ready for the beam
dump (HV already off etc) at the end of the 15 minutes run end countdown.
-
25.04.00:
Schedule
o HERA B will do high rate target operation on Thursday, 27.04.2000
starting at the beginning of a fill after the FPS and LPS have been moved
in.
o Next maintenance day: Tuesday, 2.05.2000 6:00 to 22:00 hrs, tunnel
access 6:00 to 14:00 hrs.
o Followed by machine studies until Wednesday afternoon.
-
18.04.00:
The changes in the HERA-B
operation procedure agreed on in the last task force meeting have been
presented again. In addition HERA-B has been granted for this week a full
luminosity fill at high rates (instead of two second halfs) to check the
influence on the H1 LAr_t0 rate at high positron currents.
-
21.03.00:
The updated HERMES proposal
for high density running has been accepted.
HERA-B will operate next Thursday for a whole fill with high rates.
Reminder: The LPS/FPS rate limits could be ignored but central detectors
should not be disturbed.
-
29.02.00:
It has been agreed to test the HERMES
high density running during the last hour of each fill for one week
after the March mini shutdown.
