B.Holzer summarized the HERA status:

The plan for the last weekend was to turn on the electron machine and to store positron beam. This was achieved after solving some technical problems (closed vacuum valve, control of dipole power supply, shorted quadrupole magnet). The beam aperture was very limited in the north straight section. Today it was noticed that the rotator position NR was 2cm too high. This was corrected.
The new electron machine BPM electronics is still being commissioned. This will continue today.
The RF transmitters are not yet properly phased.
Today, small intensity positron beam will be accelerated. The polarity will then be changed to electron operation.
The rotators are presently set for positive helicity.

Today: Switch polarity of pre-accelerators and HERA. Inject electrons.
Wednesday: 07:00hrs start access. Open H1 and ZEUS detectors. Survey bridge magnets.
Thursday: Move bridge magnets to electron position.
Friday: Survey of bridge magnets. Check for ground faults (without setting interlocks). Install temporary shielding. Close detectors
Weekend: Electron beam operation.
Monday 8.11.: Final adjustment of wire alignment system.
Tuesday 9.11.: Complete shielding.
