First result on direct CP violation from the NA48 experiment at CERN

Abstract:
--------- 
The NA48 experiment at the CERN SPS accelerator is aiming to measure 
Re(epsion'/epsilon), the direct CP violation parameter in K->2pi
decays, to the precision of 2.10-4. The first 10% of the final
statistics for this measurement was collected in the year 1997. 
We present our first result based on these data.
