Data Management in the ATLAS Grid cloud
John A. KENNEDY

The ATLAS Distributed Data Management framework (DDM) is a core piece of
the distributed computing system deployed by ATLAS. DDM allows us to
enable the realisation of the computing model data flow and ensures a solid base
is laid, upon which distributed analysis can be performed.
I will present an introduction to DDM and an overview of data management
activities within the GridKa cloud.
Attention will be paid to the design of the DDM system, data management
test both past and present and to daily tasks which are performed within the cloud.
To conclude I will present a brief outlook describing the challenges we
face in the near future and detail how we are gearing up to meet these
challenges.
