Reconstruction Software for the LHCb experiment

LHCb is a dedicated B physics experiment that will operate at the LHC. It will
make precision measurements of both CP violation and rare decays of B hadrons.
First collisions are planned for 2007. The high multiplicity enviroment of
the LHC provides a challenge to reconstruction algorithms many of which
must also be run in real time in the trigger. The LHCb reconstruction
software Brunel and its current performance described. Special emphasis
will be given to the tracking algorithms.
