What's up with the sailing ship ?

It's the Rickmer Rickmers !

There are three reasons for picking this ship as our mascot for the aging workshop in Hamburg:

  • It is a ``well-aged'' sailing ship that has weathered many storms (find out about its history at the link above). Just like you did until you finally solved all the aging problems in your detector.

  • The ship is permanently anchored in the harbor here - some call it the ``floating landmark'' of Hamburg.

  • Finally and most importantly, we will have the official workshop dinner onboard the ship and tour the museum inside it.
