Children at DESY
DESY participates in a bilingual day care centre which is located at the main entrance of DESY. Children between one and six years can join. The kindergarten is very popular and there is a waiting list. Please contact the International Office if you would like to know more.
DESY also hosts a parent-child-office where you can breast feed or work accompanied by your child.
There are also different offers of interesting events for children on campus. The students’ laboratory physik.begreifen offers experiments for children during school breaks as well as on Saturdays in the time before Christmas.
Every year before Christmas DESY hosts a big Christmas show for the whole family starring professional science entertainers. Regristration is necessary. Please watch out for notifications at the canteen or on the DESY campus.
